Emily Procter Guest Judge on 'HGTV Design Star All Stars

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Passion and creativity run high as six of the most memorable designers from past seasons of HGTV Design Star battle it out for a second chance in the spotlight on HGTV Design Star All Stars. The four-episode series premiering on Tuesday, July 31, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, will have the contestants compete for an appearance on an HGTV show, $25,000 in cash and the opportunity to be named HGTV’s first Design Star All Stars champion. Contestants include: Kellie Clements, Edmond, Okla.; Leslie Ezelle, Dallas, Texas; Josh Johnson “Sparkle Josh,” West Hollywood, Calif.; Tom Vecchione, New York City, N.Y.; Dan Vickery, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Hilari Younger, Dallas, Texas. Each week, the six competitors must showcase their expertise, unmatched designs and on-camera finesse to avoid being eliminated.

“In HGTV Design Star All Stars, viewers will see how experienced, savvy and creative contestants motivate each other to produce some of the best design work ever seen on television.”

Designers Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip will evaluate the contestants’ work each week to determine who will continue on in the competition. They will be joined by host David Bromstad (season one winner of HGTV Design Star), along with special guest judges Emily Procter (CSI: Miami), Mindy Cohn (Facts of Life) and HGTV’s Monica Pedersen (HGTV Green Home 2012) and Carter Oosterhouse (Million Dollar Rooms).

“These designers definitely have something to prove,” said Yip. “In HGTV Design Star All Stars, viewers will see how experienced, savvy and creative contestants motivate each other to produce some of the best design work ever seen on television.”

In the first episode, designers arrive at the world-famous Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles, where they are met by Bromstad for their first challenge. Each individual must design a room that completely represents their design perspective using the resources provided in the showrooms. While putting the finishing touches on their space, each will conduct a camera challenge where they must share their secret to making a space memorable. When time is called, one designer is faced with being eliminated from the competition for a second time.

Other challenges throughout the series will include decorating homes made of shipping containers, updating two living rooms inspired by the beloved 1980’s sitcom “The Facts of Life,” and transforming two spaces in the home of Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskya, professional dancers on Dancing With the Stars.

Beginning Tuesday, July 31, visitors to HGTV.com can extend their HGTV Design Star All Star experience online. Fans will find a photo gallery, David Bromstad recaps, and full episodes of the show.

2012 Teen Choice Awards: Congratulations

The unfortunately cancelled CSI:Miami has scored two Teen Choice Awards this year, as Choice TV Show: Action and for Adam Rodriguez as Choice Tv Actor: Action for his interpretation of Det. Eric Delko.

My congratulations go to the cast and crew of this great show, these two Awards are proof that CSI:Miami is still solid in the heart of the TV audience in every age range and, I know, so it will be for a long time, whatever CBS has blindly decided.

Emily Procter’s Raleigh: Get Plugged In!

In this episode of the online competition series “Plugged In,” actress and star of “CSI: Miami” Emily Procter takes viewers to her hometown of Raleigh, where she puts our six contestants to the test with new challenges of stamina, problem solving and driving skills. The contestants, working in teams of two and using the all-new 2012 Ford Focus Electric, unravel Procter’s clues about her favorite Raleigh locations and activities, which lead them on adventurous challenges, uniquely linked to Emily’s personal life. The teams compete to earn “butterfly” points, with the ultimate goal of representing Raleigh in the finale and competing with winners in nine other cities for a chance to win the all-new Focus Electric.
Our first challenge takes the participants to Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh where they participate in a bag swap competition. Each pair has 10 minutes to scour the area, locate people using plastic shopping bags and swap them out for reusable bags.
For the second challenge, Procter sends the teams on a scavenger hunt to visit some of her most beloved places in the Raleigh area. The contestants must try to reach as many locations as possible during the allotted time, taking a picture at each location and uploading their photo to Flickr athttp://www.flickr.com/groups/fordpluggedin/
Nicknamed “Big Red," The Angus Barn is their first stop on the list. This restaurant holds a very special place in Emily’s heart, as the spot where she threw her dad’s surprise 75th birthday party. Contestants need to take a picture with both her Dad and the restaurant’s owner, Van Eure. Another location is the 42nd Street Oyster Bar where Emily had her 4th grade birthday party. This Raleigh landmark has been serving oysters to generations of Emily’s family since it opened in 1931. Teams should take pictures of themselves enjoying oysters, still Emily’s birthday food of choice. Taylor’s of Raleigh might not have a “taylor," but teams can take a picture outside for this location’s butterfly points. Skate Ranch, another locale, is a skater’s paradise. Emily had her first date here, and contestants have to take a picture wearing a yellow skirt reminiscent of the one she wore that night. The final possible location is NOFO @ The Pig. The name comes from its first home on North Fourth Street in Wilmington, North Carolina. This unique place is located in an old Piggly Wiggly grocery store in the Five Points neighborhood of Raleigh, and still retains much of the original Piggly Wiggly character.
The final challenge takes place at the beautiful Pullen Park , home to the fifth oldest operating amusement park in the US and the sixteenth oldest in the world. Teams play a special game of catch, "Plugged In" style. One team member will be the blind folded “launcher” and the other will be the “catcher." Each team will have 50 balls, each ball with a different butterfly point value. They’ll have two minutes to try to throw and catch as many balls as possible and the winner will move on to the finale for their chance to win a brand new Ford Focus Electric.

Plourde divulges, “Music that moves me and touches my heart allows me to give more to my students. I want great beat and soul. Emily Procter next: Ford Focus Electric Costars with Celebrities in ‘Plugged In,’ Yahoo!’s First Reality Competition Series Launching May 29

  • The program will debut May 29, reaching millions of viewers through Yahoo!’s video destination – Yahoo! Screen – to promote the new Focus Electric, America’s most fuel-efficient five-passenger car
  • Featuring celebrity hosts – David Arquette, Adrian Grenier, Jenna Bush Hager, Emily Procter, Alicia Silverstone, J.R. Martinez and more
  • All-new Focus Electric – Ford’s first all-electric, gas-free passenger car – plays a starring role in an exciting reality competition where the audience will ride along through some of America’s most interesting cities
SUNNYVALE, Calif. & DEARBORN, Mich., May 22, 2012 – Yahoo!, the premier digital company, and Ford are releasing today a teaser video previewing “Plugged In,” a weekly online reality competition show coinciding with the launch of the all-new 2012 Focus Electric and airing exclusively on Yahoo! Screen, the company’s video destination.
Plugged In features two-person teams competing against each other in a series of challenges. The series begins May 29 with actor David Arquette guiding contestants through challenges at some of his favorite Los Angeles locales. Subsequent episodes will feature different celebrities taking contestants and viewers on an intimate tour of their respective hometowns, discovering hidden cultural gems and “best of” locations in their city.
The winning teams in each city will move on to participate in the finale event in Los Angeles, where they will compete with teams from other regions for the chance to win a Ford Focus Electric. The series will crown a winning team in a finale episode on Aug. 7.
“Ford is launching the Focus Electric only on Yahoo!, once again recognizing the power and reach of the Web as we continue to rely more on the power of digital media,” says Matt VanDyke, director, U.S. Marketing Communications for Ford. “The electric vehicle market will grow over time, so we electrified our popular small-car platform rather than creating a one-off vehicle, and now we can use a targeted online campaign instead of a big-budget advertisement.”
Focus Electric plays a prominent role in the competition as the car’s SYNC® with MyFord Touch® system will be used by each team to receive video, text and audio clues. The car’s navigation capabilities will help teams get from point to point, while hands-free calling will be used when the contest requires teams to make calls.
With 61 million unique visitors per month* who come to Yahoo! to watch video and 21 of the top original online video programs**, Yahoo! sets the bar for best-in-class original video programming.
With its recently launched video destination, Yahoo! Screen, the development of women’s and comedy slates, and collaborations with world-class storytellers, creative partners and original voices, Yahoo! continues to build on its leadership position in video and to provide consumers and advertisers with the best premium content online.
“With at least eight out of 10 Internet users now watching online video, this is the perfect time for Yahoo! and Ford to launch Plugged In,” said Erin McPherson, vice president and head of video at Yahoo!. “We know from our insights and data that our audience is passionate about celebrity-related content and travel content, and we combined those insights with Ford’s brand goals for a truly engaging program.”
“I am excited to be a part of Plugged In on Yahoo! and take viewers to some of my favorite spots in Los Angeles,” said David Arquette.
“I am excited to be an ambassador for one of the best cities in the world, and my hometown, New York City,” said Adrian Grenier. “There are so many amazing things going on here. People are engaged and you can feel the creativity all around you. There is never a false moment. People live fully and well and are starting to really embrace clean healthy living. There is a real sense of belonging and community.”

As AnAwardForEmily, I'll be here waiting for Emily's next great gig, because I am sure it will come soon, as Lusiana, my heart is breaking because I am leaving behind 10 great years that are coming to an end so abruptly.
I wish all the cast and crew all the best, they have given us their best for 10 years and they deserves so much for it, not even a little of that CBS has been able to give deciding to end the show with no farewell season. The fans, though, are already expressing all their love. Much more than well deserved love.

OPERATION SNOWFLAKE #TEAMPROCTER: PARTECIPATION RULES

The most important rule is being an Emily Procter's fan!
This project is merely a present her fans are putting together for Christmas 2012 and it's web based, so there are no restriction concerning your age, location or gender.

What's this present about?
The outcome of this project will be a book which will collect Emily's fans love for her. Every fan will have two dedicated pages, one will contain their photo and personal information, the other will host your artwork, poem or simply thoughts about her.

What do you have to do?
This is the fun part, if you want to join this project you have to send to: theteamprocterproject@live.co.uk

  • a photo of yourself
  • your name and location
  • either a poem, pictures, some notes or your first memory about her. Your creativity will be her joy!

Limits
Since we hope there will be many of you sending your entry in, we have set some simple limits that will give the chance to everyone to have the same space to express their love to Emily.
You all will get one and only one page to fill, so:

  • written entries: you'll have a 350 words limit;
  • pictures and artworks: consider we'll have to fit them in a 18x18 cm square book page, we will be our best for what concern graphic but try to work in a way to have the best quality when scaled. Send us only png, jpg and gif formats for better compatibility (I recommend PNG for better quality).

Deadline
You can send your entries until May 31st, 2012. Then we will start the final graphic work, so no entries after that date will be included.

CSI: Miami Preview: Calleigh's Life-Changing Decision Prompts Delko to Make a Proposal

Tonight on CSI: Miami (CBS, 10/9c), sure, Horatio digs up a bit of political scandal and Malcolm McDowell puts in an encore as ruthless legal eagle Darren Vogel. But the beating heart of the episode belongs to Calleigh Duquesne, who pulls the trigger on what promises to be a life-changing decision — and one that prompts Delko to go out on a limb himself.

‘CSI: Miami’ stars contemplate chances of romance and renewal

The cool, drizzly weather is most un-Miami-like in Manhattan Beach, Calif ., on the set of CBS’ Sunday crime drama “CSI: Miami .”
Just before boxes of hot pizza arrive to drive away the chill, stars Emily Procter and Adam Rodriguez take a break from filming to contemplate the on-again-but-mostly-off-again romance between their respective characters, CSIs Calleigh Duquesne and Eric Delko.
Procter, back in fighting trim after having her first child last season, relates the long will-they-or-won’t-they wait to a similar situation between two of the characters — Lady Mary and Matthew — on her beloved British period drama “Downton Abbey,” which airs on PBS’ “Masterpiece .”
“It really bothered me,” she says, “until I saw ‘Downton Abbey,’ and I realized, as a viewer, I loved the carrot on the stick of Mary and Matthew . You’re watching people who are right for each other and have been through enough, that you know are eventually going to get together, with just a little ‘Eek!’ that they might not .
“With Delko and Calleigh, you know that they still love each other, you know that they’re going to get together . It’s like dessert . You’re looking at it, you know that you’re going to get it later, it’s so good .”
And for those viewers who wonder when it was exactly that Calleigh and Eric broke up — which apparently took place sometime in the fall of 2010 — Procter says it happened, “when Emily Procter got pregnant, and she couldn’t go out in the field, when I didn’t really work for a year . I didn’t know they’d broken up either.
“I actually was in the writers’ office a couple of episodes ago, and I’m like, ‘Are we broke up?’ But it’s ‘CSI: Miami’ time, and you don’t know how long it’s been . It’s probably just been a week .”
In the episode airing Sunday, March 25, called “Law & Disorder,” Calleigh makes a life-changing decision that may give her a second chance with Delko (or at least that’s the tease from CBS).
As to what’s happening with the relationship — nicknamed “Delquesne,” a mash-up of the characters’ last names — Rodriguez says, “Not enough, in my opinion, as usual . I think we’re always sort of hinting at it and not taking a big bite . Maybe there’s a sense of urgency now that the season’s winding down.
“I think there’s some longing to be together on both parts, but there’s been quite a bit of space . The main problem is that we just haven’t made the decision to go there and explore it . I don’t want to speculate on what’s going on off camera . Maybe that’ll end up being what we end up seeing .”
Both Rodriguez and Procter express concern about whether the show will get an 11th season, which would mean either Delquesne gets resolved this season or not at all.
“I find it hard to believe there is any doubt,” says Rodriguez, “but everything I hear leads me to believe there is an element of doubt . This is the first time I’ve ever not been 100 percent confident . I feel pretty good, but I wouldn’t bet the farm on it .”
“I would want a real senior year,” Procter says . “I would want us to know this is our last year . I would want there to be parties . I would want us to do things together, Bonnie-and-Clyde it up . It might be a negotiating point for CBS and David (series star David Caruso) . Let’s hope it’s an artistic choice and not that .”
Of course, this raises the question, could “CSI: Miami” continue without Caruso’s Lt . Horatio Caine?
“I don’t know,” Procter says . “That’s a good question .”
